We are working in partnership with Superfast Berkshire to provide ultrafast full fibre broadband to over 27,000 homes and businesses. Our initial project focused on connecting close to 16,000 properties across rural West Berkshire and we are now extending our network to over 11,000 more, in rural areas of Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham and Bracknell Forest.
Below you can see an estimate of when your new ultrafast full fibre broadband network will be coming to your area (subject to change). Our project in partnership with West Berkshire is split into two phases - West Berkshire and East Berkshire.
The rollout of ultrafast full fibre broadband to West Berkshire is nearing completion. Having started back in December 2015, the majority of works to connect close to 16,000 homes and businesses have now been completed. The orange shaded areas on the map below illustrate the communities which have each been enabled with a full fibre network. The rollout of ultrafast full fibre broadband to rural areas of Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham and Bracknell Forest is underway. Having started in early 2018, more than 6,000 homes and businesses will benefit from access to a new full fibre connection, under the Superfast Berkshire broadband programme. In addition, we are investing commercially in expanding the network to more than 5,300 extra homes and businesses, meaning a total of more than 11,000 properties will benefit from the new network. The orange shaded areas on the map below illustrate the communities which will be connected when each new full fibre cabinet is deployed. We will be building the network in stages and you will be able to see on this page the areas where we are building already and where we are going next.
