Setting up your Linksys router
If Gigaclear broadband is being connected to your property for the first time, an engineer will complete the set-up for you.
If your property already has a Gigaclear connection, you’ll need to follow the instructions below to install your router.
Your Gigaclear wall mounted box will look like one of the examples shown here:

Ensure your Gigaclear wall mounted box is powered on at the mains, indicated by the power lights. If you need to power it on, switch it on at the power socket and wait 5 minutes before moving to the next step.

Plug in your Linksys router to a nearby power socket using the power cable supplied and turn the device on. The power switch is on the bottom.

Once your router has finished starting up the LED light will show a solid purple. If it doesn’t, your can hold down the reset button on the bottom of the router until the LED indicator turns off. Then release the button and wait for the LED light to display solid purple.

Plug in the provided Ethernet cable into the router’s port with the coloured line above it. Then plug the other end of the cable into LAN 1 on your wall mounted box or the port labelled 10 GE.

Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws in the wall mount enclosure and pull away the panel. Once you have connected the ethernet cable, route the wire around the housing enclosure so that it comes through the opening at the bottom. Replace the wall mount enclosure panel and fasten the two screws.

The router LED will flash as it connects. After around 5 minutes it will turn solid blue which means the router is online. You can now connect your devices using the WiFi details shown on the label underneath the router.
