Castle Cary FC Score Big with Rural Sports Fund Help
The £100,000 Gigaclear Rural Sports Club Fund aims to support teams based in rural communities across the broadband company’s full fibre network, which spans 26 counties.
A set of goal posts have been netted by Castle Cary FC to help the young footballers develop their shooting skills and help them progress.
Club Chairman Neville Hartnell said: “The new goals will a great asset for training the youth members and especially as we hope to introduce new youth teams of six and seven-year-olds who will need goals of this size. This is important because our youth teams are our future first team players.”
The club, whose teams play their matches on the Donald Pither Memorial Ground, aims to make a real difference to the lives of aspiring footballers, helping them develop not only their skills on the pitch but also valuable life lessons off it.
