The £100,000 Gigaclear Rural Sports Club Fund aims to support teams based in rural communities across the broadband company’s full fibre network, which spans 26 counties. Sports equipment including portable floodlights and goalposts have been netted by Adderbury Park FC.
Club Chairman James Collier said: “The support provided Gigaclear’s Rural Sports Club Fund provides a massive boost to the club and it much appreciated. It really helps provide essential match and training equipment to enable the club to continue to grow and provide football for children and adults alike. It means so much to a club like Adderbury Park to receive such unbelievable support and I hope it marks the start of a great relationship between us and Gigaclear.”
Fund ambassador Darren Gough said: “Since launching the fund, it has gone from strength to strength, providing valuable support where it is needed most.
