Learn how to set up your Smart WiFi to make your connection the strongest it can be.
Our Smart WiFi services come with one or more nodes that look like the router.
WiFi nodes are connected wirelessly to the router to form a WiFi mesh network using the mobile app. When nodes are placed appropriately around the home they extend WiFi coverage over a traditional single-router set up
The WiFi nodes operate seamlessly with the router and each other, to provide each device in your home with the most reliable, fastest connection, even when the device (e.g. phone, laptop) is moved around the home.
Power WiFi node (child node) on, within 1-2 metres of the router (parent node) and within the same room.
Wait until the LED of the child node(s) shows solid purple. NB: if it shows any other colour, hold the reset button on child node for approximately 15 seconds (until the LED turns off), then release and wait 5 minutes until it turns solid purple.
Press the reset button on the router (parent node) 5 times in quick succession, ideally 5 presses within 5 seconds
Wait 10 minutes until the child node pairs with the router (until the LED on the child node is solid blue).
You can now move the child node to their desired location, we suggest keeping it within about 10 meters to ensure optimum connection. If the node is moved and the light turns orange this signifies a poor/weak signal and should be moved closer.
If you are adding more than one child node, power them up in order of increasing distance from the parent node, and wait approximately 3 minutes until the LED of the moved node is solid blue before progressing to the next node.
